When I was younger one of my biggest fears was of snakes. I lived out in the country, by a lake in Minnesota. I remember one time I was going outside my back door and I looked down and saw a snake. It wasn't a huge snake or anything, it was just a little gardener snake. Never the less I ended up jumping up onto the propane tank and screaming for my parents to come and get me.
At the house in Minnesota there is a little path through the woods that leads to my grandmas house. I remember another time when I was riding my bake to her house and I saw a little gardener snake. Even though I was on a bike I still freaked out and almost fell off my bike.
One of my worst encounters with snakes was actually when I was with my whole family. I was sitting in the back of my dads car on a nice summer day. My dad was going to take my friend and I somewhere but I can't recall where. Anyway I was just sitting in the car when all of a sudden my older cousin, who is a boy and of course not scared of snakes, came up to the car window. He told me he had something to show me and then he dangled a snake right outside the car window. I started crying and screaming at the top of my lungs! My dad yelled at him and told him to go away. Later on that day my cousin apologized to me and told me he didn't know i was afraid of snakes. I told him good excuse.
Now that I'm older snakes don't even bother me much. When I go to a Zoo or if Mr.Malpert has his snakes out I'm not really bothered. Still sometimes, when I'm walking through the woods and see one, I keep my distance.
